About the Programme

The AICTE Training and Learning (ATAL) Academy actively aims to empower faculty through training in modern technological domains. Accordingly, the ATAL FDP MITS Rayagada is designed to enable participants to acquire sound domain knowledge and associated skill sets in the emerging area of Additive Manufacturing. The program emphasizes developing outcome-based teaching-learning practices, empowering faculty to design project-based modules addressing societal challenges, particularly in rural and tribal regions. Furthermore, the training aligns with the NEP 2020 and AICTE IDEA Lab frameworks to strengthen participants’ roles in sustainable manufacturing.

Established in 1999, Majhighariani Institute of Technology & Science (MITS) is located in a scenic 50-acre campus at Bhujabal, Rayagada. The institute actively fosters a strong linkage between academics and industry, emphasizing holistic student development. The host Department of Mechanical Engineering blends strong theoretical knowledge with hands-on practical exposure, supported by well-equipped labs and experienced faculty mentoring students across core areas such as thermodynamics, manufacturing, and robotics.
