The ATAL FDP at JNNCE Shivamogga is a six-day offline Faculty Development Programme sponsored by the AICTE Training and Learning (ATAL) Academy. Organized jointly by the Departments of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering and Electronics & Communication Engineering, this FDP focuses on “Advances in 6G Mobile Networks”. The program aims to equip engineering faculty with in-depth knowledge of next-generation wireless communication technologies, including terahertz communication and AI-driven networks, without charging any registration fees.

The host institution, Jawaharlal Nehru New College of Engineering (JNNCE), was established in 1980 by the National Education Society. Recognized by the Government of Karnataka and approved by AICTE, the NAAC ‘A’ accredited institution boasts specialized labs for microwave, VLSI, and digital telecommunications. Notably, the ETE department serves as a Nodal Centre for IIT Bombay’s “e-Yantra” project, providing a strong foundation for practical, industry-relevant technical education.
