The ATAL FDP College of Food and Dairy Technology Chennai is a six-day offline Faculty Development Programme scheduled from 17 August 2026 to 22 August 2026. Sponsored by the AICTE Training and Learning (ATAL) Academy, this training focuses on “Digitalisation and Sustainable Innovations in Food Process Engineering: Emerging Technologies and Research advancements”. Organized by the Department of Food Process Engineering in Koduveli, Chennai, the program is designed to expose participants to the digital revolution and its impact on food industry auditing, smart manufacturing, and resource optimization.

This Faculty Development Programme imparts vital training to faculties and researchers regarding digital transformation in food process engineering, incorporating Industry 4.0 concepts such as IoT, AI, automation, and smart manufacturing. Participants will familiarize themselves with sustainable techniques emphasizing energy efficiency and waste minimization. The pedagogy features collaborative, experiential learning with 25 hours of theory, hands-on lab sessions, and a scheduled industrial visit to the Food Corporation of India or Creamline Dairy Products.
The host institution, the College of Food and Dairy Technology (CFDT), is a constituent unit of the Tamilnadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, spanning an 82.12-acre campus in Koduveli on the outskirts of Chennai. Renamed in 2012, CFDT is recognized by AICTE and accredited by ICAR, featuring a robust Technology Business Incubation scheme with well-equipped pilot processing plants for milk, ice cream, and meat products.
