Program Overview

The primary objective of this research project is to document and analyze the intersection of gender roles within India’s rich weaving traditions. Specifically, the study focuses on women artisans to understand their socio-economic standing and the preservation of indigenous craft. Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following academic and professional standards to be considered for these roles:

  • Research Associate: Applicants must hold a Postgraduate degree in any social science discipline with at least 55% marks. In addition, qualifying NET/M.Phil./Ph.D. is mandatory. A minimum of 2 years of research experience as a Research Assistant in any previous project is required.
  • Field Investigator: Candidates require a Postgraduate degree in any social science discipline with a minimum of 55% marks. Proficiency in local languages such as Marathi, Telugu, Assamese, Urdu, or Hindi is essential for site-specific data collection.
  • Desirable Skills: Familiarity with feminist research frameworks, qualitative methods (FGDs, interviews), and documentation tools like Canva or NVivo will be highly valued.
