Established in 1956, The Gandhigram Rural Institute has evolved into a distinguished institution recognized for its intensive focus on rural transformation. The institute offers a wide range of academic programs including Rural Development, Rural Economics, Extension Education, Development Administration, Rural Sociology, Cooperation, English and Communicative Studies, and Tamil and Indian Languages. Candidates are expected to demonstrate strong subject knowledge, pedagogical skills, and a commitment to academic excellence within rural-focused disciplines.
This role involves supporting ongoing research projects, contributing to field studies, and assisting with academic publications related to social inclusion and rural development.
The position requires individuals with strong technical or administrative competencies to support academic operations within the centre.
Applicants must hold a Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks in the relevant discipline. Additional qualifications and criteria are applicable as per institutional and regulatory norms. Experience in rural-oriented research or community development will be considered an added advantage.
