The Climate Change Media Partnership works to strengthen global climate journalism by enabling reporters from underrepresented regions to participate in major international climate negotiations. Through this initiative, journalists gain direct access to policymakers, scientists, negotiators, and climate experts during the annual Conference of the Parties.
Since its establishment in 2007, the fellowship has supported more than 550 journalists worldwide. Furthermore, the programme helps improve the quality and reach of climate reporting by ensuring that perspectives from developing countries are represented in global climate discussions.
The COP31 Climate Change Media Partnership Fellowship 2026 will take place alongside the 31st United Nations Climate Change Conference in Antalya, Türkiye. Consequently, fellows will have the opportunity to report on critical climate negotiations, sustainability initiatives, adaptation strategies, and international environmental policies.
