Frequently Asked Questions

1. What does the Project Research Scientist Recruitment 2026 at AIIMS Jodhpur involve?
AIIMS Jodhpur’s Department of Microbiology seeks a Project Research Scientist-II and a Project Research Nurse-II to drive an ICMR-funded project that expands antimicrobial resistance research and surveillance across secondary-level hospitals. Notably, this Project Research Scientist Recruitment 2026 targets PhD microbiologists and AMR specialists to lead multi-site coordination, antibiogram preparation, and daily ICMR portal reporting — making it a high-responsibility appointment at one of India’s premier medical institutions.

2. Can candidates for the Scientist-II post appear for an online interview instead of the walk-in?
Yes – exclusively for the Project Research Scientist-II post, AIIMS Jodhpur offers an online interview option. Consequently, interested candidates must email their completed application form and updated resume to both nfd.project.mycology@gmail.com and drvidhijain.micro@gmail.com on or before April 22, 2026 by 2:00 PM. The Project Research Nurse-II post does not carry this option; those candidates must attend the walk-in interview in person on April 30, 2026.

3. What happens if more than 10 candidates appear for the walk-in interview?
When more than 10 applicants arrive, the examination centre administers a written screening test at 9:30 AM sharp before the interview proceeds. Furthermore, the panel strictly excludes late arrivals from both the written test and the personal interview — punctuality is therefore non-negotiable for all walk-in candidates.

4. Does the Nurse-II post at AIIMS Jodhpur require any computer skills?
The notification lists Microsoft Office proficiency — specifically PowerPoint, Word, and Excel — as a desirable qualification for the Project Research Nurse-II post. Furthermore, the role demands daily data entry into the ICMR portal, regular communication with secondary care hospitals, and coordination with the Microbiology technical team, making computer fluency practically essential even if formally listed as desirable.

5. Do these AIIMS Jodhpur project appointments lead to permanent employment?
No. Both posts are purely temporary and co-terminus with the ICMR project duration. Accordingly, neither appointment confers any right to permanent employment at AIIMS or under ICMR, nor does service in these roles count toward experience criteria for any regular AIIMS position. Nevertheless, working under Dr. Vidhi Jain on a nationally significant AMR surveillance project offers substantial research credentials and direct exposure to ICMR-standard protocols that carry considerable weight in academic and public health career trajectories.
