Educational Qualification
- SRF: M.Sc. (minimum 55% marks) in Life Sciences, Molecular Medicine, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or an equivalent discipline is mandatory.
- SRF: Candidates must have qualified CSIR-UGC NET (including lectureship), GATE, or been selected through national-level examinations conducted by Central Government bodies such as DST, DBT, DAE, ICMR, IISc, or IISER.
- SRF: PhD enrollment is not mandatory at the application stage; however, research aptitude in molecular biology and virology is essential.
Experience
- SRF: A minimum of 2 years of hands-on research experience in a relevant area is required.
- SRF: Demonstrated practical expertise in mammalian cell culture — preferably primary cell culture — and molecular biology techniques including Western blotting, RT-qPCR, siRNA transfection, and cloning is essential.
- Desirable for SRF: Prior exposure to Confocal/Fluorescence microscopy, FACS analysis, and animal handling significantly strengthens the application.
